MODEL 90
FIBER GLASS ROVING CARTRIDGE CUTTER
Large for
great capacity and low maintenance. Rolls are 6" diameter
by 12", 20", or 26" long. Large quantities of material can
be cut before expendable parts need changing. Capacity of up to 1500 pounds
per hour for 12" model; 1000 pounds per hour is typical. 20" and
26" models are primarily for cutting, metering, and distributing
glass roving on a moving belt for continuous production processes.
Hydraulic cutting pressure for precise pressure and automatic compensation
for wear. Exact pressure means everything last longer per 10,000 pounds of
glass cut, including anvil sleeves and blades. Automatic folow-up as blade
and cot wear take place.
Lengths of cut - 1/8" or longer, as selected.
Servicing ease - rolls lift out for bench servicing.
Blades and Cots - inexpensive razor type blades combined with rubber
compostions cots for 1/2" and longer lengths. Heavier, inexpensive,
discardable blades for 1/8" and 1/4" are combined with polyurethane
cots.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Feed Bar Oscillator is a heavy duty pneumatic unit. Adjustable
for stroke and speed, it plugs into the cutter frame.
Traveling Jet Blower keeps cutting head completely clean.
A concentrated jet of air oscillates over the entire face of
the cutting head and lifts off all fibers jammed between blades.
Speed and force are easily adjusted. Unit plugs into frame of
cutter.
Break-up Device. Pronged shaft separates individual cut
strands of roving.
Electric Tachometer indicates cutting speed. |

SIZES AND APPLICATIONS
Model 90-12 12" long rolls. Designed primarily for
bulk cutting at the very lowest cost per unit. Can be equipped
with Positive Ejection system for 1/8" lengths.
Model 90-20 and Model 90-26Designed for slower speed operation
and for spreading roving over a moving conveyor belt as for Sheet
Molding Compound production
All lengths of cut available; shorter lengths of cut and optional
accessories are extra.
